If someone comes to us saying they can afford a $300,000 home and they’re looking in Mooresville, Cornelius, Huntersville, or somewhere similar, we would need to look critically at where in each of those areas you want to be. For example, a tax rate outside of the city in Iredell County could be half of what the rate is in Huntersville. This can really affect the affordability of the homes that you’re considering.
